Introduction

            Huawei certification is committed to provide customs with authentic, professional certification. It provides customers with certification of four levels. HCDA (Huawei Certification Datacom Associate) is primary for IP network maintenance engineers and any others who want to learn the IP network knowledge. HCDA certification covers the TCP/IP basics, routing, switching and other common fundamental knowledge of IP networks, together with Huawei communications product, versatile routing platform VRP characteristics and basic maintenance.

Discussion

            There are six modules concluded in this training. Module 1 explained the fundamentals of network. It systematically introduces the IP network infrastructure, TCP/IP four-layer model which helps trainees to establish the basic framework of the data communications network. Besides, this module helps trainees to master the functions and role of communication network in a variety of products.

            Module 2 describes the basics and operation of the Huawei generic routing platform VRP and progressive approach to the basics of routing protocols, static routing and dynamic routing protocols. This module helps trainees understand the principles and basics process of data communication by highlighting RIP and OSPF, two IGP routing protocols.

            Module 3 introduces the popular Ethernet technology, how Ethernet equipment works as well as technologies used mostly in the LAN like VLAN, STP, VRRP to help trainees improve abilities for planning LAN.

            Module 4 explains the basic principles of WAN technologies such as HDLC, PPP, Frame Relay configuration and implementation on the VRP to help trainees to master WAN technologies and implement flexibly.

            Module 5 describes the types of firewall technologies and development, performance and the basic functions of Huawei Eudemon series firewalls and implementations on the VRP to help trainees to understand and layout the network security policy.

            Module 6 describes hardware features, positioning and networking applications of Huawei routers and switches. While studying this part, trainees will develop a comprehensive understanding of Huawei data communications products.

Conclusion

            As the conclusion, trainees gain more knowledge throughout this training. Trainees have opportunity to learn more n the technology about TCP/IP protocol stacks, router, switch, WAN, Ethernet and how to configure use on the VRP. Besides, trainees have ability to design network by own with the help from trainer if there are problems required a solution from experts.
