IMDC2016 is the best edition for SCCE so far, as we won the grand prize for the Motorola Track with a product named "Development of a Health Monitoring Vest for the Elderly" which was developed by a final year student, Muhammad Adam bin Hamidon under the supervision of Dr. Jack Soh Ping

The second product won a consolation prize for Altera Track with a product named "Machine Vision for String Detection System on FPGA". This product was design by Teo Yin SJE  under the supervision of Dr. Phak Len Eh Kan.

The third product also received consolation prize for Keysight Track with a product title "A Robust Wearable Antenna System for Search and Rescue Applications" which was developed by Muhammad Fauzi bin Ameerul Fikrey and Dr. Jack Soh Ping.

IMDC Competition 2016 is very challenging where the students not only have to produce a product that works and function very well, but it must take into account the needs of society and the corresponding costs. The Dean of SCCE, Prof. Ir. Dr. R. Badlishah Ahmad always  provide strong encouragement to all lecturers and also fully supports the students to engage in this IMDC. All SCCE students whose participant in this IMDC has secured a job from the industries involved.
