Research Seminar and Collaboration Meeting with King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok

On 22nd August 2017, The School of Computer and Communication Engineering (SCCE) UniMAP hosted the visit of two Professors from The Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS), King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB). The delegation was headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ekachai Juntasaro, Associate Dean for Research and Academic Services. He is also an academic staff from the Program of Mechanical Engineering Simulation and Design, Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, TGGS-KMUTNB. He delivered a talk entitled “Design and Validation of a Multiple Dilution Microfluidic Chip for a Human Serum Preparation”. This was followed by Assistant. Prof. Dr.-Ing.  Suramate Chalermwisutkul, with his talk entitled “High Frequency Electronics and Industry-Oriented Education in Thailand”. Dr Suramate is also the Advisor to the Dean for International and Industrial Relations, Program of Communications Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Software Systems Engineering, TGGS-KMUTNB. The research seminar was attended by about 50 academic staff and students. The following session is a research collaboration discussion session, which was chaired by the Dean of SCCE, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azremi Abdullah Al-Hadi. During this talk, SCCE and TGGS both introduced their departments with presentations before commencing a discussion on the proposal of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which is scheduled during the UniMAP Convocation in October 2017. This discussion was also facilitated by the Director of the Center for International Affairs (CIA), Dr. Noorhafiza Muhammad and Officer, Mdm. Wan Andrina Osman. Both parties mutually agreed in the joint supervision of students, staff and student exchanges and organization of joint research seminars. The visit ended on a positive note and the proposed organization of the Thai-Malaysian Workshop on Antenna and Propagation.
