Reports

On November 8, 2018, a total of 20 students from standards 1 to 3, 6 children and 4 teachers from Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Bukit Jambul visited the School of Computer and Communication Engineering (SCCE).

The purpose of the visit is to provide exposure on the importance of early education especially in the STEM field to parents and pupils to prepare for the academic field and thus allow them to step further studies.

Students and their parents were brought to the computer laboratory where Dr. Ku Nurul Fazira was assisted by Dr. Junita, Dr. Wee Fwen Hoon and Ms. Nur Farhan Kahar, giving some information about SCCE and introducing Micro:bit to the students.

Then, these students were given the opportunity to meet with the SCCE robots team led by Dr. Shuhaizar Daud, Mr. Ir Zahari Awang Ahmad and Mr. Muhammad Asmi Romli. The students were exposed to how robots were developed and had the opportunity to interact with robots that had been developed by SCCE Robot Team.

This 2-hour long tour has run successfully. It is hoped that this visit will give the students a deeper sense of inner strength to study hard in their studies.
